Teacher Training Testimonials
Dear Marni,
Thank you for the wonderful teachings this weekend. This journey has already caused some profound changes in my life and shown me more of the awesome potential of yoga. I have learned so much more about the internal practice and I am beginning to appreciate meditation like never before. I feel happier and more fulfilled, I hope the feelings last but I think they will as long as I continue to practice.
I also want to thank you for helping me heal my shoulder. Because of your help I feel like I have my old body back, for the most part and with severe pain added in. However, I have progressed and improved thanks to You and Yoga.
Love, Dan
"Marni has a harmoniously diverse combination of yogic backgrounds that she infuses into her training. The Jivamukti side embodies an outward expression of the practice, brought together with song, history and theme - a renaissance type approach. The Anusara side focuses more on the inward expression, empowering students with alignment and the subtleties of the body - a scientific type approach.
Beautifully woven together and peppered with other lessons from her vast experience, I am forever grateful to call her my teacher."
Jason Battung, physical education yoga teacher at Santa Monica High School
Marni's teacher training was intense, empowering, and amazing. She infused each training session with her warm, upbeat personality and shared her vast knowldge of yoga philosophy, asana, adjustments and assists, and pranayama in an accessible, fun way. Plenty of hands-on experience, practice teaching, and discussion allowed me to feel very prepared to launch my career as a yoga teacher. I consider myself blessed to have studied with Marni, and I highly recommend her teacher training program.

Marni is a gifted teacher that inspires and uplifts her students. Her teacher training left me with the knowledge and confidence to know I was ready to teach on my own. Marni's training was broad in scope, covering not only how to teach asana, but how to convey philosophy to students as well as pranayama. Through her program I also learned how to provide my students with verbal cues and hands-on adjustments and assists. I have and will continue to recommend Marni's teacher training program to anyone who asks.

Marni's teacher training is an exploration of each of the eight limbs of yoga. As such, her student leaves knowing better what questions to ask, where to seek the answers to those questions, and how to navigate all that will come up with a deepening practice. Whether or not it was the original desire of the student, his practice of yoga off the mat will shift, in its own unique way, just as his understanding of asana strengthens.
Marni, in the most loving way, constantly pushes her students just outside their comfort zones. They are left with no option but to "open to grace", as John Friend would put it, and, ultimately, apply that skill in the rest of their lives.

My yoga teacher training expierence was one of the most transforming experiences i have been through. i was introdced to so many different aspects of yoga and the experience took my spirituality to another level. I loved every moment of being with my newfound "yoga family" learning. together. I am truly honored to have seen such light in marni early in my practice to want to study with her. The experience was a blast. Thank you Marni, for the love and guidance you share with our community.

"Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves... Like locked rooms and like books that are written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now! Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the anwer..."
