Dear Marni,
Thank you for the wonderful teachings this weekend. This journey has already caused some profound changes in my life and shown me more of the awesome potential of yoga. I have learned so much more about the internal practice and I am beginning to appreciate meditation like never before. I feel happier and more fulfilled, I hope the feelings last but I think they will as long as I continue to practice.
I also want to thank you for helping me heal my shoulder. Because of your help I feel like I have my old body back, for the most part and with severe pain added in. However, I have progressed and improved thanks to You and Yoga.
Love, Dan

"Marni has a harmoniously diverse combination of yogic backgrounds that she infuses into her training. The Jivamukti side embodies an outward expression of the practice, brought together with song, history and theme - a renaissance type approach. The Anusara side focuses more on the inward expression, empowering students with alignment and the subtleties of the body - a scientific type approach. Beautifully woven together and peppered with other lessons from her vast experience, I am forever grateful to call her my teacher."
-Jason Battung, physical education yoga teacher at Santa Monica High School

Marni's teacher training was intense, empowering, and amazing. She infused each training session with her warm, upbeat personality and shared her vast knowldge of yoga philosophy, asana, adjustments and assists, and pranayama in an accessible, fun way. Plenty of hands-on experience, practice teaching, and discussion allowed me to feel very prepared to launch my career as a yoga teacher. I consider myself blessed to have studied with Marni, and I highly recommend her teacher training program.

Marni is a gifted teacher that inspires and uplifts her students. Her teacher training left me with the knowledge and confidence to know I was ready to teach on my own. Marni's training was broad in scope, covering not only how to teach asana, but how to convey philosophy to students as well as pranayama. Through her program I also learned how to provide my students with verbal cues and hands-on adjustments and assists. I have and will continue to recommend Marni's teacher training program to anyone who asks.

Marni's teacher training is an exploration of each of the eight limbs of yoga. As such, her student leaves knowing better what questions to ask, where to seek the answers to those questions, and how to navigate all that will come up with a deepening practice. Whether or not it was the original desire of the student, his practice of yoga off the mat will shift, in its own unique way, just as his understanding of asana strengthens.
Marni, in the most loving way, constantly pushes her students just outside their comfort zones. They are left with no option but to "open to grace", as John Friend would put it, and, ultimately, apply that skill in the rest of their lives.

My yoga teacher training expierence was one of the most transforming experiences i have been through. i was introdced to so many different aspects of yoga and the experience took my spirituality to another level. I loved every moment of being with my newfound "yoga family" learning. together. I am truly honored to have seen such light in marni early in my practice to want to study with her. The experience was a blast. Thank you Marni, for the love and guidance you share with our community.

As an actress living in New York, Marni Task was constantly being told that she needed to look at her whole body as an instrument in her acting. Since she could never figure out which instrument her teachers were talking about ? a flute? a French horn? ? she decided to take up yoga. Task studied at the world-renowned Jivamukti Yoga Center in New York and became a certified yoga instructor in 1995. She moved back to Cleveland and today, she's revered by fellow teachers and students alike. "She has a great understanding of the body, and she's good at articulating the way in which you can move your body to find that space where the mind and body begin to connect," says Tammy Lyons, Task's boss at Inner Bliss Yoga in Rocky River. Task is also good with non-yogis who just want to get their legs behind their head. At the end of her sessions, you feel stretched to your physical and mental limits.

Just wanted to thank you for a wonderful start to a new beginning in Columbus. I truly enjoyed the workshop and hope that other Ohions get the benefits of more Jivamukti to come. In the meantime, I guess I have to build my home practice up a bit.
You are a wonderful teacher (loved the adjustments) and it was a pleasure meeting you. Keep my informed if you come back to Columbus or NYC.
Also I want to thank you again for the most beautiful class on Sunday. Your presence is divine! I always feel so much love emanating from you; it fills up the entire room. If I could, I would be in your class every day. You are the best yoga teacher I've ever had, including Ruth. Thank you SO MUCH for inspiring me, and helping me to grow.

I wish you were teaching the Wednesday night classes every week. It would work out so perfectly with my fall school schedule. I love your classes very much!!! As soon as I use up the package that I have at Cleveland Yoga, I?m going to start taking some of the classes that you teach at other schools. Your gentle spirit and hands-on manipulation means a great deal to me, especially when my increasing achy body does not want to cooperate. Thank you for your wonderful patience.

Thank you for such a terrific class! I'm sure youre sick and tired of hearing me rave about your classes, but honestly, you are one talented teacher!! I had planned to do something different yesterday evening and my spirit had already decided (by noon) that it was your class I was going to! :) The great plus about adhering to that inner voice is I'm always guaranteed a good outcome! So thank you for yesterday -- not only did I really appreciate your class, but your words of wisdom were especially on target!
Have a great evening!

Hi Marni, Just wanted to drop a note telling you how much I enjoyed your class today (actually we enjoyed it) and how wonderful it was to be back in that room! I have been taking yoga, teaching a little and practicing but nothing has been as wonderful as today's class. Sometimes the basics are all you need.
Thanks again,

Hi! It's Stan from the Thursday 5:15 Karma Yoga Class.. I wanted to send you my email address to make sure I got a copy of your Thanksgiving Letter.. so here it is :) I also wanted to thank you for all the teaching you have shared with me over the past several months. I don't know if Renee ever mentioned it, but for the first month or so of classes I would walk out of there sore, exhausted, frustrated (usually with my balance and hamstrings), and I would swear after each class that I was never coming back again. But, I did, and now its really become very important in my life. Thank you for being an understanding teacher. I am not my balance or my hamstrings. :)
Hope you have a great weekend :)
- Stan.

Dear Marni -
I often think of you saying, "Relax your beautiful faces!" It always makes
me smile. You are a beautiful person with so much to give, and it seems
you've found great opportunities to do just that in Cleveland. We still miss you in NY, but thrilled that folks in Ohio have access to such a dedicated
yogini!
Much move,

Hello everyone,
I also was really inspired by Marni's Saturday morning class! I wasn't even going to go but my wife dragged me out of bed to go to the early Saturday class. I did a tri pod head stand out of the blue for the first time and then she help me get into a full wheel which I never did before. I know it's about the pratice and not what poses we can do, but I can't help to be excited. Mainly because I had huge fears about doing head stands. peace,

Hi Marni!
Thank you for creating special moments for me on monday; this year's birthday was a very full experience. I actually experience special moments on a regular basis while attending your classes and want to thank you for being an amazing source of inspiration in my life. Things you've said, like "the best relationships in life are the ones that check in" inspires me to call my mom. Or, "lift your leg and let if feel the texture of the air", which initially caused me to lose myself in laughter, now inspires me to pause in a day and draw a few deep focused breaths. An adjustment you made by asking me to push into your hand on the crown of my head sparked an awesome moment of humility; instead of resisting and causing trouble I found my rebellious attitude calmed and humbled. I learned in that moment that I can embrace it as a tool for growth rather than seeing it as a defect that needs to be tamed. Thank you Marni, for improving the quality of love in my life!!
Namaste,
- Jody Juergens
